GREENFINCH
Greenfinch are seed-eaters and they seem to empty my feeders as soon as they are refilled. They are most frequently in the garden in Winter - in quite large flocks - and often there are four - six of them at any one time on a feeder. No wonder they empty it rapidly .

CHAFFINCH
I love Chaffinch - the male chaffinch in Spring is a gorgeous little bird -really brightly coloured. They feed both on the ground and on the feeders, and in Spring have a most distinctive call - which has been likened to a fast bowler's run up, and delivery with the ball, in a cricket match! |

| BULLFINCH |
A rather infrequent visitor to my garden - he usually appears when the apple and cherry blossom is in flower. Has a very strange weak call for quite a large bird - certainly not as noticeable as the Chaffinch, for example |
