BELVIDE RESERVOIR - TREE SPARROW

I visited Belvide Reservoir in August 2007 for the first time and it was well worth the visit, althought there were very few waders to be seen, due to the very heavy rainfalls. However it was really pleasing to see so many Tree Sparrows all round the reserve and these are a few of the pictures I took of these most attractive little birds.

 

Back in 2009 - Winter

SPARROWHAWK as I was watching the Tree Sparrows a Sparrowhawk shot amongst them. This time he did not make a capture - I was very relieved. He waited on a branch for a few minutes then flew off. Pictures were taken with 50d +400mm f5.6 olens
