| MARBURY COUNTRY PARK |
The light was not wonderful on the day I walked around this lovely park, but Marbury is always a pleasant place to visit, one is guaranteed to see something, as the following pictures testify. I used the Canon 40d with the 100-400mm IS lens |
GREAT CRESTED GREBE - this was taken early morning - the Grebe was some distance from the shore but the colours were rather beautiful in this hazy light in February

.......and the meeting ....

| ....the mating ritual |

and finally - the happy couple? |

At the opposite side of the Mere enjoying the early morning sun!

BULLFINCH (female)

| REED BUNTING |
| KINGFISHER |

This bird is always a favourite - but so difficult to take a decent picture of, so often is it found in the shadows, on a branch underneath trees as he waits to dart into the water - unseen - for his catch of a fish. |

NUTHATCH

| BANK VOLE |
This little creature just was an added pleasure, two of the vole continuously ran out from under a log close to where I was sitting watching the Nuthatch. Being able to photograph the Vole was a first!! |
